Social Networking More Opium of Cigarettes and Alcohol

Against the desire to not check social networking sites to better update it more difficult than resist drinking alcohol and smoking, according to new research.

The findings are based on a survey conducted by researchers from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in America for 250 people. Researchers gave participants a piece of software to include the 8000 report of the daily desire of the participants.

Researchers find sleep and sex are two things that most of the day everybody wants. However, research results will be published in Psychological Science Journal shows most of the participants express check social networking sites are the most difficult to resist.

For comparison, the researchers found the desire for alcohol and cigarettes are much lower than the check Twitter and Facebook. Though both are the most popular type of addiction.
The study, led by Wilhelm Hofmann said the demands of modern life makes a lot of people find it difficult to control yourself.
The more participants refrained from examining the timeline or writing status updates on social networking, the more it will increase their desire to access it.

"Over time, the desire to control one's self and to be low, so the effort to resist the temptation not to open social networking sites are more likely to fail," said Hoffmann, as reported by the Telegraph.
